Explore iconic Sydney and charming Potts Point this autumn, to help you get started here is our autumn bucket list to start your discovery itinerary.
#1 Discover Hidden Magic

We love sharing our secret faves that you might not know about and this one is extra mysterious. Pull the curtain back on the secret world of magicians at Sydney Museum’s Australian Museum of Magical Arts. The museum is described as a “library of magic, a collection of magical paraphernalia and illusions”. The whole family will get lost in a world of magic with the interactive exhibitions in the museum plus enjoy magic live at the Magicians Cabaret theatre.
Plus, if you love illusion and mystery, Las Vegas Entertainment is presenting House of Magic with two shows on April 14th. Featuring three of Australia’s foremost illusionists, get ready to be amazed! Family show at 2pm and adult show at 8pm.
#2 Museums and Galleries

Closing May 19, this is your last chance to see Mammoths: Giants of the Ice Age at the National Museum. This exhibition is exclusive to Sydney and will take you back in time a staggering 42,000 years and see Lyuba, a real preserved baby mammoth. While you are there, explore the permanent exhibitions including the ever-popular dinosaurs.
Another must-see before it closes is the interactive explosion of colour and light that is the Learn & Play! teamLab Future Park exhibition. This exhibition at Powerhouse Museum must finish 30 April.
Go star gazing with the Sydney Observatory Night Tours where you can use the telescope to stare into the heavens, experience the Planetarium and tour the dome.
#3 Shopping

We love discovering local shops. The Little Candle Shop is an easy five-minute walk from the hotel and is a haven of beautiful scents. Close by is The Family Jewels where you can find unique jewellery including some stunning gemstones. Located right between those stores on MacLeay Street is our favourite fashion boutique Mon Petit Chou, the staff always make shopping a delightful experience. Keeping with the French theme, on the way back to the hotel treat yourself to some to-die-for pastries from Croissant D’Or.
