What are the parameters around this promotion?

Groups must be booked and fully executed between 26 March 2019 and 30 June 2019 and the stays must be completed by 31 December 2019.

The promotion is for groups with a minimum of 10 rooms per night billed to a master account. Holiday Inn Potts Point will provide a rebate of 5% off the master for consumed rooms only (not meeting room rental, F&B or any other charges, unless Holiday Inn Potts Point specifies otherwise).

This does apply to Government Group leads if requested by the planner but does not apply to airline crew or long-term project business.

What are the Terms and Conditions of this promotion?

Offer available at participating IHG® hotels globally. This includes The Holiday Inn Potts Point, (excluding Holiday Inn® Club Vacations and The Palazzo Las Vegas), unless prohibited by law. Offer applies only to group bookings of at least 10 rooms per night. To qualify for the offer, groups must be booked with a mutually signed contract between 26 March 2019 and 30 June 2019, and bookings must be consumed by 31 December 2019. Offer must be included in the contract, at the time of contracting. Rebate includes 5% off the master account folio for consumed guest rooms only, up to a maximum discount of US $10,000. All other charges on the master account folio must be paid in full, and do not qualify for the discount. Food & beverage minimums may apply. Promotion is applicable to new business only (business not currently being negotiated or contracted), may be available for repeat bookings, is based on availability, and does not apply to groups bookings contracted prior to 26 March 2019 at an IHG® hotel and/or in conjunction with another promotional offer. Exclusions may apply, and all bookings are subject to terms included in the hotel contract.

How does the hotel process this rebate?

Upon the conclusion of the event, if the contract had been negotiated to offer the promotion and the client met the terms and conditions, the hotel will process the rebate through their property management system for just the rooms portion of the master bill, unless the hotel had included other rebates/concessions in the contract.

What if the group is split between master bill and pay own?

If the group has some rooms to the master bill and the remaining as individual pay own, then provided it meets the criteria of the promotion, it is up to the hotel whether they would like to offer the rebate on the portion of rooms (minimum of 10 per night) that are on the master.

Are repeat bookings eligible?

Yes.

What happens if the client requests the discount right before the contract is executed (did not mention at point of proposal or negotiation)?

If the promotion was not mentioned at the time the availability was requested, then Holiday Inn Potts Point do not have to offer the promotion. However if the contract has not yet been signed, it is at the Holiday Inn Potts Point’s discretion on whether to offer it or not. 

Can hotels offer greater than 5%?

Yes, hotels can offer greater than 5%. Please contact The Holiday Inn Potts Point reservations team for specific details on discount claims.
