Japan Supernatural, Art Gallery of NSW
180 wildly imaginative works by Japanese artists Takashi Murakami and Katsushika Hokusai will grace the Art Gallery of NSW starting from 2 November 2019, as part of the Sydney International Art Series.
Takashi Murakami is a Japanese contemporary artist who draws from sci-fi, anime and the global art market. He works in fine arts media as well as commercial media are known for blurring the line between high and low arts. An evident intersection of pop culture, history, and fine art is portrayed throughout his works. Katsushika Hokusai displays unique social observations with an innovative approach to design throughout. He was well-known throughout the Edo-period Japan and globally recognised.

Comedy Steps Up For Bushfire Relief
In order to raise money for the devastation of the NSW bushfires, Live Nation and the Sydney Opera House will be presenting ‘Comedy Steps Up for Bushfire Relief’ – an outdoor gala performance on the Opera House steps and forecourt on Monday 16 March.
The evenings proceeding will be filled with a talented mixture of both Australian favourites as well as well known international acts such as the entertaining prowess of American comedian Arj Barker and Harry Shearer.
Net proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery fund, the NSW Rural Fire Service, Wildlife Victoria and WIRES.
Faulty Towers: The Dining Experience – Sydney Opera House
Dedicated fans of the widely popular British TV series during the mid 70’s will be in for a fully immersive and highly interactive experience at the Sydney Opera House for six dining experiences between Tuesday 17 – Saturday 21 March.
