A Romantic Day Out

With romance blooming in the air, why not enjoy a lovely day out with your partner? Our very own Harbour Bridge is second to none when it comes to beautiful settings for a great picnic. The 53,000 tons of steel is nothing more than romantic during the sunset from any vantage point, a great place if you enjoy romantic summer sunsets.

Take your other half out on a magical cruise along Sydney’s waters. Whichever cruise you pick between a long lunch cruise or a beautiful sunset dinner cruise, the waters along Sydney do not fail to woo your special someone. Captain Cook’s Valentine’s Day Cruise, for instance, is the perfect cruise to let your better half know how much you love them. The Sydney Harbour Cruise offers a romantic voyage on the prestige vessel Harbour Sydney.

Another classic idea for this Valentine’s Day could be a romantic night out to the movies. Biota’s James Viles and Automata and A1 Canteen’s acclaimed chef Clayton Wells are bringing together a summer treat as part of Wespac’s Open Air Cinema. For those looking for the à la carte dining experience with a loved one, ‘The Lounge by James Viles’ will feature foraged ingredients for a seasonal and innovative, yet relaxed approach to dining. On the contrary Clayton Wells will offer a menu that highlights the laidback essence of A1 Canteen, serving signature sandwiches, pasta, salads, house-made proteins and a build your own main section with a host of proteins and rotating salads. Westpac’s Openair Cinema runs from January 9, 2019 until February 21, 2020. The harbourside screens will sit at Mrs Macquaries Point, adjacent to the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney.

For those looking for alternative choices, there’s nothing better than a bite from Chiswick at the Gallery, the signature menu designed by Matt Moran’s Sydney dining establishment. The restaurant offers charming casual dining within the Art Gallery of NSW. Take advantage of a special ‘Summer of 69’ menu throughout February, which incorporated 4 courses for $69 per person.  Book your tickets for the special day!

You can also enjoy plenty of live shows in the city. For instance, if you’re in the western suburbs, the Riverside Paramatta is where you’ll want to be with its plethora of exciting performances.

Finally, Milson’s Point, Deck Sydney is hosting a special event for Valentine’s Day. A delicious three-course meal, complete with awesome wine pairing and breathtaking views from your own private carriage on a Ferris Wheel sounds exciting, doesn’t it? The event isn’t over yet as you head over to nearby Luna Park. You can enjoy the classic rides while impressing your date by winning a prize or two at the fun sideshow games.
