Sydney Royal Easter Show
Every Easter, the country and city join together at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. The Show is a twelve-day celebration featuring agricultural competitions, animal experiences, live entertainment, carnival fun, shopping and much more.
Some great events to check out with the kids this year include the Kids Carnival, featured daily at Olympic Boulevard. Enjoy the gentle turn of the carousel or the fun of racing down the rainbow Super Slide. You can hop on one of these less intense rides with the kids or have a rest in the shady seating area where catering (and coffee) is close at hand. For those looking for a unique experience, try the highly anticipated Kyle & Jackie O’s Haunted House! Located on Showground Road and open from 9:30am each day, Sydney’s breakfast due have created 13 rooms with 16 trained actors and 12 animatronics that will take you on a spine tingling journey, that will have you screaming for more.

Enjoy the Australian Wildlife
Another great activity to enjoy with the family is a trip to one of the many zoos and wildlife sanctuaries in Sydney. Meet your favourite animals, learn more about them, while nurturing a love for the planet with your family. Some of our favourite places include Taronga Zoo, Sealife Sydney Aquarium, Wildlife Sydney Zoo, and Featherdale Wildlife Park.
School holiday activities in Sydney don’t come much bigger than Taronga Zoo. It’s impressive diversity of 4000 animals, including some rare and endangered species of animals are memorable moments to capture. Lions have returned to Taronga to take their rightful place as Kings of the African Savannah! Across the Savannah plains in a stunning new habitat known as ‘The Waterhole’, families can get up close and personal to five iconic species of animals that call the African Savannah home. These include Lions, Giraffes, Zebras, Meerkats and the small distinctive featured Fennec Fox.
To ensure safety across the zoo, visitors must register before visiting the Zoo. Family ticket prices, includes a 20% ‘booking online’ saving. 2 adults + 2 children: $124.80, 2 adults + 1 child: $101.60 or 1 adult + 2 children: $85.60.
Taronga Zoo is now accepting Dine and Discover NSW vouchers.
